Intravenous (IV) Therapy
This program is intended to provide the necessary skills to safely perform IV therapy. Professionals providing IV therapy must continually keep current as IV therapy continues to change. During this course, students will receive instruction on performing IV therapy with a focus on anatomy and physiology, asepsis, necessary equipment and supplies, review of drug calculations, pharmacology as it relates to IV therapy, and the practice of starting and running an IV. This course is appropriate for phlebotomists, RNs, LPNs, and other caregivers looking to enhance and or refresh their IV therapy skills. This program includes both hands-on lecture and classroom labs.
